The Program Coordinator of User Services & Manager of Interlibrary Loan Borrowing under the supervision of the Program Director applies creativity, critical thinking, and technical knowledge to topical and operational problems providing the TRU Services Program Director with possible solutions that optimize program services and provide consistently outstanding customer service. This position thoroughly understands specialized User Service systems and service landscapes and works toward designing capabilities and dependencies that promote functional integration between four subunits with a particular emphasis on developing and maintaining efficient standardized processes, practices, and documentation with consistent services policies at all service points, and opportunities for cross-training and streamlining Library services.
As the Manager of Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Unit is responsible for the day-to-day management of patron and subject librarian requests for monographic ordering, ILL borrowing, and ILL borrowing receives/returns service operations of the unit. Management of the team includes hiring, coaching, counseling, and training; writing and conducting performance reviews, managing daily teamwork assignments and services, including those for ILL borrowing, patron and subject librarian request maintenance, and vendor and resource sharing relations.
