As Archivist for Records Management, Sarah engages in complex records management consultation services to support a wide range of campus stakeholders, faculty, and students. She meets with University departments to assess current record handling procedures, identifies and preserves archival records, and provides guidance on records management and records related issues such as filing, retention and security. She also works collaboratively to create and provide updates to the record retention and disposition schedules as well as builds consultation services for the records management program and manages the paper-based shred program. In collaboration with the records management team, she develops outreach initiatives and activities in the form of orientation sessions, presentations, and tutorials.

As the Digital Archivist at Notre Dame, Scott Kirycki develops and implements policies, procedures, and workflows for records retention and the appraisal, ingest, and preservation of born-digital University records.

Scott holds a Master of Science in Information degree from the University of Michigan School of Information. His specialization is Archives and Records Management, and he studied Preservation of Information as well. Previously, Scott worked for a company that made computer databases for lawyers. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Calvin College and a Master of Arts degree in English from Clark University.

As Assistant Archivist for University Records, Matt Wilken manages the physical transfer of paper-based university records to the University Archives in accordance with the University's records retention schedule. Matt serves on the records management team and offers guidance based on principles of life cycle management of university records. He manages collection space for university records for both onsite collection space and the offsite storage facility and ensures that access to university records are in line with state and federal regulations, University policies and unit guidelines. Matt also supports staff colleagues, faculty, and other campus departments in outreach, reference and research projects.
