Purpose: With a focus on user privacy and confidentiality in light of both organizational business needs and professional standards and best practices, provides consultation, recommends practices, and drafts policies for consideration by appropriate units regarding patron privacy in a variety of situations, including patron use of online and print library resources. The team will understand and document current practices within our library and research trends in the profession related to patron privacy and confidentiality.
